DOMESTIC DISPUTE LEADS TO GROW OP DISCOVERY

Windsor Police have charged a man and a woman after responding to a domestic dispute and finding a marihuana grow operation.  At 11:30 a.m., 911 dispatchers received a telephone call from someone at 874 Bruce Ave and as a result, uniformed officers attended this address.  Upon arrival, officers learned that there had been a domestic argument between the man and woman who resided there.  The man explained that an argument had taken place but the woman had left prior to police arrival.  Upon checking the residence for the woman, officers discovered a marihuana grow operation on the third floor attic of the house. 

Officers discovered a number of plants in various stages of growth, a quantity of loose marihuana and electrical equipment used in the grow operation.  While the officers were arresting the man, the woman returned to the house and was also arrested.

The value of the marihuana seized is estimated to be $130,000.00

David POMPONIO - 28 years and Sherry MCFARLAND - 28 years both of Windsor are charged with one count each of Possession of Marihuana For The Purpose Of Trafficking and Unlawfully Producing Marihuana.  Both accused were released on a Promise To Appear in Court a a later date.
