POLICE REQUESTING INFORMATION ON SUSPICIOUS MAN

Windsor Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying a suspicious man after he was observed acting erratically in the area of Jackson Park last week.  On Thursday April 22, 2010 at approximately 4:00 p.m. a man walked into the Parkside Tennis Club in Jackson Park and asked the staff if he could watch the tennis players. He was permitted to do so but shortly after, he began behaving oddly and was asked to leave the facility.  As he left the facility, the man approached a 12 year old female and her mother and asked if he could get into the car with them.  The mother refused and left the area in her vehicle. The man was last  seen walking toward Dougall Ave. 

Shortly after, a man matching the same description was seen acting suspiciously in the area of Gateway Plaza in the 2400 block of Dougall Ave. He was last seen walking northbound in the area of Jackson Park.

There have been several reports of a man matching the same description acting erratically in the Jackson park area. In some incidents, it has been reported that this male has been seen watching young females.  There have been no reported assaults or acts of violence against any young girls to date however, police are requesting any information as to the identity of this man.  Anyone with any information as to the man's identity is asked to call Windsor Police Investigations at 519-255-6700 ext 4830 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-TIPS (8477).

The suspicious male is described as white, 35-40 years, 5'9", 155 lbs, skinny build, unshaven short salt and pepper hair, wearing glasses. At the time of the last incident, he was wearing black faded jeans, a green T shirt, black shoes and was carrying a blue knap sack.
