The Windsor Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in identifying three suspects involved in a robbery of a take out pizza store in the 4000 block of Tecumseh Rd. E early yesterday morning. At 12:20 a.m. on Sunday April 25, 2010, uniformed officers responded to the plaza located on the north side of Tecumseh Rd E at George Ave for a report of three men prowling around the building. Upon arrival officers were met by two employees of the pizza store who advised that they had just been robbed by three masked men brandishing knives and a hammer. The investigation revealed that just prior to police arrival. the three suspects entered the store. Two of the suspects approached the counter and demanded the money from the cash register while the third suspect stood at the door acting as a look out. The two employees at the store complied and all three suspects ran from the store with a quantity of cash eastbound through the parking lot and then north on Tourangeau Rd. Neither store employee was injured during the robbery. The suspects are described as follows: Suspect #1- Male, white, 18-22 years, 5'10", skinny build, light coloured eyes, wearing a grey hoodie, black mask and gloves and brandishing a hammer. Suspect #2 - Male, white, 18-22 years, 5'9", skinny build, wearing an oversized red hoodie, jeans, a black mask and brandishing a knife. Suspect #3 - Male, white, 18-22 years, 5'9", skinny build, wearing a light coloured hoodie with black writing on it, a dark mask and gloves and brandishing a knife. Investigators believe that the same suspects may be responsible for a similar robbery which occurred at a take out pizza store in the 1700 block of Westcott Rd. early Saturday morning. In this robbery, two suspects matching similar descriptions entered the store and immediately struck the lone employee on the head with a tire iron causing a deep laceration requiring stitches. They then demanded the money from the cash register. The employee opened the register and the suspects stuffed their pockets with cash. The suspects fled the store on foot and were last seen running east on Milloy St. In this incident, one of the suspects held a tire iron and the second carried a knife. The employee was treated and released from hospital for his injuries. Investigators are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying these suspects.
