Windsor Police have a man in custody after he threatened to kill three people earlier this week. At 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010, a 19 year old man received a phone call at his residence from a man whose voice he recognized. The caller identified himself by another name. The receiver of the call was in company of two friends who also knew the caller personally. One of the friends at the residence had previously been in a relationship with the caller's sister but had recently broken it off. The receiver of the call put the phone on the "speaker" feature for all three occupants to hear the conversation. During the conversation, the caller advised that he was on his way over to kill all three occupants of the residence as a result of the terminated relationship and then hung up. The three felt their safety was in jeopardy and called police. At 12:40 p.m. yesterday, uniformed police officers on patrol stopped a vehicle containing the suspect who is known to police on Riverside Dr E. at McDougall Ave. and arrested him. Eric BLAIR - 40 years of Windsor is charged with three counts of Uttering Threats To Cause Death. He will appear in court to answer to the charges today. - 30 -
