THIEVES CAUGHT IN THE ACT

Windsor Police have laid charges against two men who were caught stealing items from a transport trailer parked in an industrial park in the city's east side last night.  At 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 22, 2010, officers observed a pick up truck inside a fenced compound in the 2800 block of Lauzon Rd.  The pickup truck was backed up to the rear of a stationary transport trailer.  Officers, from a distance, observed two men loading construction equipment from the trailer into the bed of the pickup truck.  The suspects got back in the truck and exited the fenced area and drove through the parking lot of the compound.

Additional uniformed officers responding to the area were able to stop the pickup truck in the area after it left the industrial park.  Officers observed a quantity of new construction equipment in the bed of the truck and arrested the two occupants of the vehicle.  Officers attending the the transport trailer discovered that two locks on the trailer had been cut off to gain access to the trailer.

Charged with one count each of Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of Break in Instruments are Rick PARRY - 53 years and Russell RUDLING - 62 years both of Windsor.  Both will appear in court today to answer to the charges.
