| ONE SUSPECT ARRESTED IN ROBBERY - SECOND MAN WANTED | ||
Windsor Police have one suspect in custody and are searching for a second man after a vicious robbery during the early morning hours of May 21, 2010. Prior to the robbery, the victim had been walking north on Ouellette Ave near Erie St when he was approached by two suspects, knocked to ground and had his wallet stolen from him. The suspects then forcibly picked the victim up off the ground and walked him toward a bank machine with the intent of withdrawing money from the victim's bank account. As the victim and his two attackers walked in front of the victim's apartment building, the victim was able to break free and ran into the lobby of the building. The attackers chased the victim into the lobby and beat him repeatedly causing injuries to his head and face. The attack was caught on the building surveillance video. Investigators received information that the two suspects responsible for this robbery were hiding out in an 8th floor apartment in a building in the 900 block of Ouellette Ave. At 9:00 p.m. Monday night, Windsor Police Officers attended the building an made entry into the apartment. Upon entering the apartment, officers observed the two suspects they had identified, run to the balcony and climb over descending to the balcony below. Both suspects gained entry to the seventh floor apartment and ran into the hallway in an effort to escape. Officers were able to capture one suspect in the stairwell of the building and he was arrested after a brief struggle. It should be noted that the arrested suspect had shaven his head bald and had also attempted to remove the tear drop tattoos under his right eye which was covered by a bandage. Stephen LAMBERT - 45 years of no fixed address is facing charges of Robbery, Choking, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Forcible Confinement, Mischief and Resisting Arrest. The second suspect fled the area but has been identified as Michael ALLARD - 27 years of Vanier St. in Windsor. ALLARD is wanted for Robbery, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Forcible Confinement, Mischief, and Escaping Lawful Custody. Please see attached photos of ALLARD.
