POLICE SEEKING INFORMATION ON DOG ABUSER

The Windsor Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public in obtaining information on who may be responsible for abusing a dog.  Police received information from the Humane Society that they had been summoned to the former Social Services property in the 700 block of Louis St. at 12:30 p.m. on Monday May 10, 2010 for a black Labrador retriever mixed breed that had suffered abuse to its genital area.  The dog was euthanized as a result of the abuse. The dog was believed to be 8 to 10 months old and was black in colour with a white patch of hair on it's chest area.  The dog was found suffering by a City of Windsor employee who notified the Humane Society.

Windsor Police are asking anyone with any information as to the dog's owner or anyone who may have seen the dog in the area to call the Investigation Branch at 519-255-6700 ext 4830 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-TIPS (8477).
