ARREST WARRANT ISSUED FOR WINDSOR MAN
 
The Windsor Police Service has issued an arrest warrant for a Windsor man after an investigation into allegations of Child Luring were brought forward by the Louisa County Sherriff's Department located in the state of Virginia, U.S.A.

Detectives from the Windsor Police Service Child Exploitation Unit were notified by Louisa County authorities of an ongoing investigation involving a Windsor resident. As a result, the matter was investigated and a search warrant was executed at the suspect's residence on November 13, 2010.  A quantity of computer equipment was seized from the suspect's home during the search.

The suspect was arrested by United States Customs Officers at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday November 13, 2010 as he attempted to enter the United States via the Windsor -Detroit Tunnel.

Alan J. SAUVE - 47 years of Windsor is wanted on a charge of Luring a Child.

The Windsor Police Service wishes to remind the public that crimes involving the sexual exploitation of children on the internet are borderless, and continue to urge citizens to report suspected cases of child exploitation and abuse to police.

The Windsor Police Service Child Exploitation Unit is jointly supported by grants from the Ministry of the Attorney-General of Ontario and the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
