| SUSPECT IN THEFT CAPTURED ON VIDEO | ||
| Windsor Police are requesting the assistance of the public
in identifying a suspect caught on surveillance video stealing a woman's
purse. On October 24, 2010 at 10:20 a.m. a male suspect entered an
office at the Comfort Suites located at 500 Tuscarora St. and removed a
woman's purse from a table inside the office area. The suspect was
captured on a surveillance camera removing the purse from the table and
placing it under his jacket prior to leaving the office. The
ensuing investigation revealed that there was an attempt to use one of
victim's debit cards at an ATM machine later that same day. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35 years of age, 5'6", skinny build, short hair and a moustache. He was wearing a plaid pattern jacket and a dark coloured baseball cap. Anyone with any information regarding the identity of this suspect is asked to call Windsor Police Investigations at 519-255-6700 ext 4830 or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-TIPS (8477). A CD containing the surveillance video is available for pick up at the front kiosk at Windsor Police Headquarters.
