POLICE SEEKING SUSPECTS IN KNIFEPOINT ROBBERY |

| Windsor Police are searching for two suspects after a
woman was robbed in the parking lot of an east side grocery store last
night. At 10:00 p.m. of October 3, 2010, uniformed officers
responded to a report of an armed robbery at a grocery store in the 7600
block of Tecumseh Rd. East. Officers were met there by the 43 year
old female victim who advised that she had parked her vehicle in the
parking lot and entered the store to purchase a few items. Upon returning to her vehicle in the lot several minutes later, a full size pick up truck pulled up next to her. A male suspect exited the passenger door of the truck and approached the victim who was getting into her vehicle. The suspect, who had a his face covered by a hoodie, brandished a silver coloured knife and demanded the victim's purse. The victim complied and handed the suspect her purse. The suspect got back into the truck which was being driven by a second male suspect. The truck then drove east through the parking lot to Tecumseh Rd. where it disobeyed the red traffic light almost causing a collision with several vehicles travelling on Tecumseh Rd. A witness attempted to follow the truck on foot but last saw the vehicle south on Annie St. entering the Meadowbrook area. The victim was shaken up but otherwise not physically injured during the robbery. The victim's purse is described as a "Coach" purse brown in colour with a silver buckle. The purse contained the victim's identification, credit cards and a quantity of cash. Suspect #1 (Passenger) is described as a a white male, 5'9", thin build, blonde or reddish hair and fair skin. He was wearing a grey pull over baggy hoodie with pockets on the front. Suspect #2 (Driver) is described as a white male in his 30's, heavy set with a chubby face. He had dark curly hair shoulder length hair and was wearing a black leather jacket. This suspect did not exit the vehicle. The suspect vehicle is described as a early 2000's two toned full sized pick up truck. The darker colour is on the upper portion of the vehicle with the lighter colour (possibly grey) being on the lower portion. The truck had an extended cab, a bed liner in the box, a trailer hitch and the tailgate was open. The rear licence plate appeared to have been obscured with some type of tape.
