SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT ARRESTED

Windsor Police have charged a 51 year old man after a 16 year old boy reported being sexually assaulted in a downtown hotel room early Sunday morning.  At 1:00 a.m. on Sunday October 24, 2010, uniformed officers responded to the lobby of a hotel in the 200 block of Riverside Dr.W for a report of a sexual assault.  Upon arrival, they were met by the 16 year old victim and his parents.  The victim advised that he and his parents had travelled to Windsor to watch a hockey tournament his sister was playing in and were staying at the hotel for the weekend.

The victim advised officers that at approximately 12:00 a.m. he had gone outside to the front of the hotel to smoke a cigarette.  While outside, he had encountered the suspect also smoking and began speaking with him. The victim advised officers that he had smoked with the suspect on Saturday in the same location.  At some point during the conversation, the suspect invited the victim up to his room to watch some hockey.  The victim agreed and both men attended the suspect's room.

The investigation revealed that at some point while the two were watching hockey on the television in the suspect's room, the suspect told the victim to remove his pants and when the victim hesitantly complied, the suspect performed oral sex on him.  The victim was able to push the suspect off and ran out of the room.  The victim went back to his own room, advised his parents of what had transpired and police were called.  Officers attended the suspect's room and placed him under arrest for sexual assault.

A 51 year old Mississaga man is facing a charge of  one count of Sexual Assault.
