| THEFT SUSPECT SOUGHT BY POLICE | ||
| The Windsor Police Service is seeking the assistance of
the public in identifying a suspect involved in two separate thefts from
vehicles from a south Windsor business. On Monday September 13,
2010 uniformed officers responded to a business in the 800 block of
Foster Ave. for a report of two separate thefts. Both thefts were
captured on surveillance video and appear to depict the same suspect as
being responsible for both thefts. The initial theft took place at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday Sept 9, 2010. The suspect is seen on the video entering the parking lot of the business driving a white minivan. The suspect is seen removing all four hubcaps from a company van parked in the lot. He then enters his van and leaves the area. At 6:00 p.m. on Saturday September 11, 2010, the surveillance video shows the same suspect pulling into the parking lot driving the same white minivan. The suspect is seen on the video smashing the drivers side window of a company van parked in the lot with a tire iron and then loading a quantity of tools from the company van into the suspect's vehicle. The suspect then drives away in his van. Copies of the surveillance video depicting both thefts is available to be picked up from the officer at the kiosk at WPS Headquarters. The suspect is described as a male white, 40-50 years old, 6'0" tall, 180 lbs, straight shoulder length dark hair, moustache, wearing a blue short sleeve shirt, blue jeans and white running shoes. The suspect vehicle is described as a white minivan (possibly a Dodge Caravan) with a black moulding on the side of the vehicle and dark tinted windows. The hubcap was missing from the the front passenger side wheel.
