Sex Assault Suspect Arrested

A suspect wanted for a series of sexual assaults, in the city of Windsor, has been arrested.  At 6:15 p.m., last night, Detectives attended a home in the 1500 block of Shawnee Road, in the town of Tecumseh.  The suspect has been living with relatives at this location.  He was arrested without incident.  Following his arrest, a search warrant was executed for the residence.

During the early morning hours of November 12th, 2003, a young woman was walking in the area of Wyandotte Street East, near Strabane Avenue, when she was approached by the suspect and sexually assaulted.  The investigation into this incident, led Detectives to believe the same suspect. was likely responsible, for two other sexual assaults, committed against young females.  Similar incidents happened on August 22nd, in the 9400 block of Tecumseh Road East, and October 29th, in the 6700 block of Raymond Avenue.

 A 25 year old Tecumseh man, is in police custody, and will appear in court today.  He is facing two charges of Sexual Assault.  The charges stem from the August 22nd and November 12th, incidents.  The investigation into the October 29th, incident continues.
