November Crime Statistics

 

Monthly Crime Statistics show that Crimes Against Persons dropped slightly from November of last year.  There were 180 reported occurrences, compared to 183, in 2002.  Non Family related Assaults dropped from 71 to 61 occurrences, and Assaults Against Police Officers dropped by one, from 7 to 6 for the month.  There were 15 robberies last month, the same number reported last November.

Property Crimes increased from 1132 to 1329 reported occurrences.  Break and Enter and Attempt offences dropped from 196 to 157 for the month, while Motor Vehicle Thefts and Attempts increased from 77 to 104 occurrences.  Mischief Offences increased from 211 to 271 occurrences, while Fraud Offences dropped from 71 to 68, reported occurrences.

There were 600 reported Motor Vehicle Collisions last month, compared to 591 last November.  Last month there were 18 charges for Impaired Driving, 44, for Drive While Suspended and 60 charges of Careless Driving.  The Huron Church Road Enforcement Detail, issued 186 traffic tickets last month.  Of those, 100 were for speeding, 19 for Traffic Signal Violations and 67 miscellaneous other violations.
