| Sexual Assault Suspect Sought | ||

A twenty-year old woman managed to fight off a man, who attempted to sexually assault her, on Sunday evening. The incident occurred at 6:00 p.m., on Wyandotte Street, just east of Ouellette Avenue. The suspect was standing in a nearby alley and as she walked past him, he grabbed her and forced her to the ground. He attempted to sexually assault her, but the victim fought back and managed to fend him off. The suspect fled the area and was last seen heading north on Ouellette Avenue, from Wyandotte Street. The victim did not suffer any injuries, but was shaken by the experience. Detectives of the Special Services Unit are working on this case and asking anyone with information to call 255-6700 ext. 4305 or Crime Stoppers at 258-TIPS (8477) The suspect is described as Male, white, 6 foot tall, 150 lbs., dark curly hair, dark eyes. He was wearing a beige, winter coat, a scarf covering his face, dark pants and a beige hat. He had a small tattoo on his left, ring finger.
