| Variety Store Robbed | ||

Two suspects are wanted in connection to the robbery of a variety store located in the 300 block of Shepherd Avenue West, yesterday. Shortly before 6:00 p.m., the two suspects entered the store. One man was armed with a tire iron and he went behind the front counter and with the tire iron raised over his head, demanded money from the clerk. After receiving some cash, both men fled the area on foot. They were last seen running north, through an alley, near the store. The clerk was not harmed. Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Branch are working on this case and asking anyone with information to call 255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers at 258-TIPS (8477) Suspect #1 is described: Male, white, 15-18 years old, 5'7", wearing a dark, winter, coat over a grey, hooded, sweatshirt. His face was covered by a scarf and he was armed with a tire iron. Suspect #2 is described: Male, white, 15-18 years old, 5'5", wearing a dark coat, hooded sweatshirt, face covered with a scarf.
