The Community Services Branch of the Windsor Police Service will be hosting a Summer Camp for kids.  The camp will be at Camp Henry, located in Point Pelee National Park.  The first week of the camp, July 7-11, will comprise of 30 kids from the Safety Patrol along counselors from Windsor Police and Windsor Police Auxiliary.  The second week 14-18, will comprise of children from the Children's Aid Society.

The camp is designated as Camp Brombal, in honor of Police Constable Nereo Brombal, who was dismissed from the police force in 1940 after twelve years of service.  Although he had done nothing wrong, his Italian Heritage was enough to make him suspect during the Second World War.

Opening ceremonies will be Monday, July 7th, at 11:30 a.m., at Camp Henry.  Members of the late Nereo Brombals family will be in attendance for the opening ceremony.  The focus of this years camp will be, how Social Diversity is a key aspect of Canadian Rights and Freedoms.
