June Crime Statistics

 

Crimes Against Persons were down last month, compared to June of last year.  There were 217 reported occurrences compared to 231 last June.  Robberies dropped from 13 to 10, while Assaults Against Police Officers increased from 8 to 14 occurrences.

Property Crimes increased slightly, with 1201 reported occurrences, compared to 1186 in June of last year.  Arson offences increased to 12 from 10, while Break and Enter & Attempts, increased to 142 from 97 occurrences.  Fraud Crimes rose to 79 from 67, while Mischief Offences declined to 251, from 283 occurrences.

Motor Vehicle Collisions dropped to 561  from 710 for June of last year.  There were 18 people charged with Impaired Driving last month, 69 Charges of Careless Driving and 29 Charges of Drive While Suspended.  The Huron Line Enforcement Detail issued 341 tickets last month.  The tickets included 116 for Speeding, 20 for Traffic Signal Violations and 205 for various other charges.
