| Business Robbed | ||

Detectives are looking for a suspect who robbed a heating and cooling business located in the 2500 block of Jefferson Avenue yesterday. At 4:00 p.m., the suspect entered the business and approached an employee who was working in the office. He asked for the time and then grabbed some cash that was lying on a desk. He then grabbed a baseball bat that was in the office and smashed an office telephone with it. He picked up a piece of plumbing equipment and threw it, smashing an office window. He threatened the two employees of the shop with harm and demanded money. After receiving a quantity of cash he fled the scene on foot. No one was injured. Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Branch are working on this case and asking anyone with information to call 255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers at 258-TIPS (8477). The suspect is described: Male, White, in his teens, 5'5", skinny build, wearing a white baseball cap, white T-Shirt and baggy blue jeans. -30- |
