Assault With Weapon |

A suspect was arrested early Saturday morning, after confronting a man outside a cheque cashing business, located on Wyandotte Street East, near Windsor Avenue. At 9:00 a.m., two men were waiting for the business to open. A man riding a bicycle approached, and asked one of the men for money. When he said no to him, the suspect pulled a knife out and became aggressive. The victim grabbed the suspects bicycle and held him off with it. The business opened and both men went inside and police were called. The suspect drove off, on his bicycle. Officers on patrol spotted the suspect about twenty minutes later, in the area of Crawford Avenue and University Avenue. He was arrested without incident. A 38 year old Windsor man was released to appear in court at a future date. He will be facing a charge of, Assault with a weapon.
