Unruly Youths Charged |

Two young offenders, are facing several charges, after a Mischief Spree on Saturday night. At 9:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Wyandotte Street near Arthur Road, regarding three youths kicking at cars and tipping over a business sign. The three ended up kicking at a car, in the 1800 block of Arthur Road. The woman who owned the car confronted them and she was struck on the leg by a whiskey bottle that was thrown by one of them. Her husband came to her assistance and was assaulted by the group. They continued on their car kicking spree and then turned their anger towards a man who was driving with his wife and two children, in the area of Westminster and Wyandotte Street. They kicked at his car and tried to gain entry to his vehicle. The victim called police on his cell phone and when they left, he followed them in his vehicle, directing police to their location. Officers spotted the group in the 200 block of Ford Boulevard. Two of the suspects led officers on a foot chase, that led into a rear yard, of a home on Ford Boulevard. Both suspects were arrested and fought with officers, eventually having to be pepper sprayed to bring them under control. A third suspect was arrested without incident about one block away. Two Young offenders, ages 17 and 16, have been remanded into custody and are facing charges of Mischief, Resist police Officer, Assault and Breach of Probation. A third young offender, has been released no charges.
