Convenience Store Robbed

A convenience store located in the 900 block of Wyandotte Street East was robbed early this morning.  At 3:45 a.m., the suspect entered the store, his face covered with a nylon stocking and armed with a knife.  He approached the cash register and demanded cash.  A store clerk opened the cash register drawer and the suspect helped himself to some money and then fled the store.  No one was harmed.  The suspect was last seen running north, through an alley.

Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Branch are working on this case and asking anyone with information to call 255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers at 258-TIPS (8477)

The suspect is described: Male, white, 25 to 30 years old, average build, dark hair, 5'11 ", clean shaven, wearing a grey sweatshirt, and blue jeans.  He was armed with a black handled knife.
