Group Attacks

 

Detectives are investigating two separate incidents of assaults, committed by groups of men.  At 2:00 a.m., Sunday, morning, a 21 year old man was walking on Campbell Avenue near College Avenue, when he was confronted by a group of five males.  One of the men asked for a cigarette.  When told he did not have any, he was attacked by the group.  He was repeatedly punched and kicked.  The victim attended Hotel Dieu Hospital where he was treated and released, for non life threatening injuries.

In the second incident, a 23 year old man was out walking in the area of Wyandotte Street West, near Josephine Avenue, around 2:00 a.m.  He was approached by a man asking for a cigarette.  He was surrounding by a group men and punched and beaten.  The victim was treated at Hotel Dieu Hospital for non life threatening injuries.   Detectives believe the same suspects are responsible for both attacks.

Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Branch are working on this case and asking anyone with information to call: 255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers at 258-TIPS (8477).

Suspect #1: Male, white, 18-19 years old, blonde hair, 5'9", 150-160 lbs., wearing a black visor on his head, turned to the side.

Suspect#2: white, male, 18-19 years old, short dark hair, 6'1", 180-190 lbs., wearing glasses and a light coloured top.  

The remaining suspects were all white, males, ages 18-19 years old, average height and builds.
