Grow Operation Uncovered

 

Two persons are in police custody facing drug charges, after a marijuana grow operation was uncovered this morning.  At 1:30 a.m., officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, executed  search warrants to two homes, in the 3200 block of College Avenue.  Officers discovered a grow operation in one of the homes.  

In the attic of one home, officers found 112 Cannabis plants, actively growing,  under timed high wattage light bulbs.  Also found were 14 bags of packaged Marijuana.  Air was vented by use of fans and blowers.  The hydro to the home had been by-passed.  In the basement of the home, 250 cannabis plant seedlings, were found.  In the second home, officers seized documentation relating to the grow operation.

The estimated street value of the Marijuana is $810,000. A 43 year old woman and 41 year old man, both of Windsor, will appear in court today.  They are facing charges of Production of Cannabis Marihuana, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Theft of Hydro.
