An American pilot managed to land his plane without the use of landing gear, this morning. The 58 year old pilot, from Columbus Ohio, was flying his personal aircraft from Ohio to Windsor Airport, this morning. At 10.20 a.m., he was approaching the runway at approximately 70 mph. He forgot to put his landing gear down and when he landed, the plane slid on its belly, about 400 feet, before it came to rest. The pilot was shaken up from the experience but was unhurt. He did not have any passengers. He purchased the Beachcraft Bonanza, single, engine, airplane, last year and refurbished it. He was flying into Windsor to get used to the aircraft.
