Drug Enforcement officers only had to follow their noses yesterday to find a back yard marihuana garden. Armed with a search warrant, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit attended a home in the 2500 block of Rossini Blvd., yesterday afternoon. As soon as the officers got near the home, they could smell a strong odour of marihuana. Officers discovered a total of eighty five marihuana plants growing like shrubbery, bordering a rear yard fence. The plants ranged from three to five feet tall. A search of a back yard tree house uncovered 682 grams of loose marihuana. The total estimated street value of the drugs is $204,000. A 39 year old man and 38 year old female will be summoned to appear in court. They are facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Production of a Substance.
