A seventy year old Tecumseh woman was injured when she was attacked by a man who stole her purse yesterday afternoon. The victim and her husband were walking across the parking lot of the Parkway Mall, located in the 7200 block of Tecumseh Road East, when the suspect rode into her with a bicycle and made off with her purse. The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle. He was last seen heading towards the Charlie Brooks Cooperative Housing Complex. The victim was taken to Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus, where she was treated for non life threatening injuries. Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Branch are working on this case and asking anyone with information to call 255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers at 258-TIPS (8477). The suspect is described: Male, black, light complexion, 16-19 years old, 5'5", slender build, and dark, braided, hair. He was wearing a 3/4 length, red ,jacket and dark, baseball cap. He escaped on a silver bicycle.
