A fight that occurred early Sunday morning left one man in hospital with head injuries and a female with injuries to her wrist. At 3:00 a.m., a group of people were crossing Wyandotte Street at Ouellette. A vehicle that was driving east on Wyandotte and stopped at Ouellette Avenue, honked at the group. Words were exchanged between the pedestrians and the occupants of the vehicle. A fight broke out between a passenger in the vehicle and one of the group. The passenger, a 23 year old Windsor man, was kicked and dropped to the ground striking his head on the pavement. He was taken to Hotel Dieu Hospital and treated for head injuries. He has since been removed from the Intensive Care Unit and his condition is improving. One of the females in the group attempted to intervene and was thrown to the pavement causing injuries to her left wrist. She was taken to Hotel Dieu Hospital where she was treated and released. Christopher James Gratton 25, of Windsor, has been charged with Aggravated Assault. A 33 year old Windsor man was arrested in relation to the assault on the female. He was released to appear in court at a future date and will face a charge of Assault Bodily Harm.
