Masked Suspect Enters Home |

An elderly couple were confronted by an armed masked man in their home yesterday. At 8:30 p.m., a 71 year old man and his 69 year old wife, were watching television in their home, located in the 200 block of Pierre Avenue. They heard someone at the front door and the male occupant went to see who it was. As he opened the door, a masked intruder forced his way inside. The suspect was armed with a claw hammer in one hand and a knife in the other. He threatened the victims while demanding money. After being told they had no cash, the suspect fled the area on foot, running between the houses. The victims were shaken but not harmed. Detectives of the Investigations Division are working on this case and asking anyone with information to call 255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers at 258-TIPS (8477) The suspect is described: Male, white, mid teens, 5'6", 135 lbs., medium build, wearing a dark, blue, puffy, style bomber jacket, dark, corduroy pants and a gray ski mask covering his face. He was armed with a small claw hammer and red handled knife.
