What is Senior Moment?
Senior Moment is a community project aimed at combating crime against seniors.  Con artists target seniors specifically, and through the project we hope to make seniors aware of scams.
The project encourages seniors to take a moment and contact the Senior Moment information line before agreeing to purchase items through door to door or telemarketing solicitations.

How do I get in touch with Senior Moment?
The Senior Moment phone line is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  After hours an answering machine for messages is available.  By calling the line, seniors can receive confidential information or a referral from our trained personnel.

What if I have already signed a contract or made a purchase?
If you have already made a purchase from a door to door salesperson or telemarketer, it may not be too late to change your mind.  The Senior Moment phone line is available to answer your questions and respond to inquiries even after you have signed on the dotted line.

What are the goals of the project?

• To reduce the incidents of financial crimes against seniors

• To provide seniors with an easy to access phone number that they may contact for information

• To raise awareness of scams and con artists

Do not feel pressured to make a purchase or sign a contract.  Take a moment and think it over.
