What We Do
The Windsor Police Service has an authorized strength of 501 sworn members and 150 civilian members. The WPS is committed to its mission statement and vision. WPS is a progressive and forward thinking organization committed to serving all citizens and visitors to the city. The WPS recognized the need to continue to strengthen partnerships with all stakeholders.
WPS recognizes that the city is the third most diverse in Canada and is committed to making recruitment opportunities available to all nationalities to effectively reflect the diversity in the area. WPS promotes the service as an employment option to all cultural members of the community. WPS has taken the lead in educating all members in respect to understanding the importance of multi-culturalism and the impact on day to day policing.
