Quality Assurance and Audits  
 

The mandate of the Windsor Police Service Quality Assurance and Audits Section is to provide a process related to the delivery of adequate and effective police services, and to report on compliance with the Police Services Act, Ontario Regulation 03/99 “Adequacy and Effectiveness of Police Services”.  

This process is accomplished through the completion of a series of internal compliance audits, along with the review and updating of Service policies and procedures.     


Key responsibilities include:   

  • Conducting reviews of all policies and procedures as legislative changes develop or on a 1-2 or 3 year rotation to ensure Service policies are current. ·    

  • Conducting annual audits of property/evidence held by the Service as well other areas identified by the Service both in the operational as well administrative areas. The results are reported to the Police Services Board through the Chief of Police.
